Racism in Football Volumes 1 and 2: recent reports by the House of Commons Culture, Media and Sport Committee can now be accessed from http://www.furd.org/default.asp?intPageID=53
FURD has a collection of several hundred football fanzines, mainly from the late 1990s and early 2000s, when they played an important role in exposing and challenging racism in football. Early next year we plan to donate this collection to the National Football Museum, whilst keeping copies of all racism-related articles. If anyone is interested in seeing any of the fanzines before they leave Sheffield, please contact Ruth at FURD in the next few weeks.
New books available from FURD's library include 'Race, Racism and Sports Journalism' by Neil Farrington et al, 'The Black Flash: The Albert Johanneson Story' by Paul Harrison and 'Does Your Rabbi Know You're Here? The Story of English Football's Forgotten Tribe' by Anthony Clavane.
