Millennium Volunteer news: free IT trainng and Alton Towers trip

FURD is putting on a 6 week IT course, free to Millennium Volunteers. It’ll run on Mondays, starting on 7th October. The sessions will run from 4.30-6.30pm, apart from the first one which will be from 7pm-9pm. The course is likely to cover Word, internet searching, and e-mail, but can be adapted to suit the wishes of participants.

Also, a trip to Alton Towers is being planned for 31st October, aimed mainly at fairly new MVs.

There are limited places available for both these offers - anyone interested should contact Mehrun or Simon at FURD on 0114 2553165.

If you’re aged 16-24 and fancy having access to perks like these in return for doing some voluntary work, why not join the ranks of Sheffield Futures MVs with FURD? For more details, contact Mehrun or Simon on the above numbers or email
